How Behavent improves your score

Your score isn't a grade you get once and forget. It's a living picture of your cyber resilience — one that improves every time you engage.

Behavent works differently from one-off security checklists or compliance trainings. We don't measure you once and move on. Instead, you enter a continuous cycle where each stage feeds the next. Your score reflects what you know, what you do, and how you grow — over time.

Below is the lifecycle. Each step builds on the last. As you learn, reassess, and validate your progress, your capability — and your score — rises.

The Behavent Lifecycle

The lifecycle is non-linear: you may enter at different stages, repeat steps, or skip ahead. Confidence governs progression, not completion.

Each step in depth

1

Assess

Establish an understanding of your capability — what you believe you know and do. Knowledge-based questions, self-reported behaviour, baseline indicators. When you return to this step after Learning, you reassess: re-evaluation of domains, validation of changes, confidence recalculation. Assessment is a starting point (and a return point) — not a judgement.

2

Discover

Surface contextual signals that shape interpretation: consented exposure and signalling analysis, tool-assisted discovery, environmental context. Discovery informs interpretation; it does not override self-report.

3

Test

Evaluate decision-making under realistic conditions. Situational judgement tests, scenario-based challenges. Testing reveals gaps between knowledge and action.

4

Model

Interpret all available signals into coherent meaning. Domain interpretation, confidence calculation. The model produces insight, not truth — interpretive, never final.

5

Recommend

Propose proportional next steps: learning suggestions, behavioural actions, validation opportunities. Recommendations guide; they do not compel.

6

Learn

Support capability development through learning modules, guided explanations, and practical exercises. Learning improves confidence before it improves scores. After Learn, the cycle returns to Assess — where you reassess and close the loop.

How your score improves over time

When you first Assess, we establish a baseline. That baseline becomes your starting score — a snapshot of where you are.

As you Discover your exposure and Test your decisions, the model gains more context. It doesn't judge you — it interprets. Your score reflects both what you reported and what we observed.

When you Learn — through modules, scenarios, and practice — you build real capability. That capability doesn't show up instantly in every domain, but it grows. When you return to Assess and reassess, the model sees the change. Your score adjusts. Often it improves. Sometimes it reveals new gaps. Both are progress.

The goal isn't perfection — it's progress. Security capability is built over time, not proven once. High confidence doesn't end the loop; it informs what happens next.

No end state

If the lifecycle implies an end state, it has failed. The lifecycle exists as long as you remain digitally active. Every return to Assess is a new beginning — and another chance to improve.
